Handing Over Estate PlanningEstate planning is considered by many to apply only to the wealthy and who have numerous assets. But preparing for the future is a common-sense habit for people of all income levels, and can save your loved ones in time and money in the long run. The current pandemic crisis has many people huddled down and looking at issues that had previously not occurred to them.

“Estate planning has become a generic term. It’s really how you handle your assets and transfer them from one generation to the next.” says Elder Law and Estate Planning attorney, Matthew Fedor. Estate planning is really important for everybody, the less money you have, the more planning you should do.”

Fedor recently appeared on WDET 101.9 FM, Detroit NPR podcast, to answer questions and discuss the importance of estate planning, why it is important for everyone regardless of income level and why it should be explored early and often. Listen to the full podcast here.
